The AIS™ voice platform contains two “self-service” applications. The first application allows friends and family members of offenders to retrieve offender-specific case information, as well as general information about individual facilities and their policies. Friends and family dial the same numbers they have always dialed to reach facilities. Approximately 80% of all calls are handled by AIS™ without staff intervention and the remaining calls are transferred to facilities for personal assistance. The second application allows offenders to retrieve their own case information simply by picking up a Securus phone. This not only relieves supervisory staff of an administrative burden, but also circumvents potentially dangerous inquiries made with intent to distract.
AIS™ is a hosted a solution that eliminates the complexity of traditional voice hardware, software, and telephony integrations. Maintenance is centralized and service “future proof” with enhancements and updates taking place remotely. AIS™ receives data from all major Jail Management Solutions (JMS) and can easily be configured to receive data from any custom solution capable of running a basic population report. Multiple redundancies ensure high availability without facility IT personnel lifting a finger. And since there is no onsite hardware or software to install, AIS™ turn-ups can take place in weeks, rather than the months and months characteristic of many other facility systems.
